Hi guys! Today we're going to talk about the value that comes from money and the value that comes from love and affection. It is often asked, "Is money far more valued than love?" or, "What does this love and affection for others give me something that the money I earn doesn't give?" Yes. Everything in this world has a value. We might know the value of many great things, but our eyes are blind when it comes to find what value do we get in small things. Let me tell you a very familiar story. There once lived a father with his son. The father always worked late and would come home, at around midnight. His son had always wished to eat dinner with his father, at least once. One night when the father came home, his son was awake. The father scolded the son for not sleeping early. He asked the reason for staying awake. The little boy said, " Dad please, once, will you eat dinner with me?" The father scoffed and told him," If I work more than the time allotted to me, I get ₹1500 added to my salary. Will you be able to pay me the same amount if I eat dinner with you?" Saying this, he switched of the lights and went to sleep. The boy was left in darkness. Days passed by. One day, when his father was about to go away to the office, the boy stopped him. The father was angry. He asked him to hurry up and tell what the matter was. The boy simply took out his hand hid behind his back and showed the father. It contained ₹1500. The father was astonished! The boy said, " Dad I've given you your bonus. Will you eat dinner with me today Dad?" The father burst into tears. He fell at his son's feet and apologized to him. He applied for leave that day and spent the whole day with his son. From that day onwards as per his promise, the father returned home by eight in the evening. The duo lived happily ever after.
This shows us that, though money is highly valued in this so- called society, love and affection should never die. It has an important role in our lives. Be kind. Don't ill treat your your peers, colleagues or even your acquaintance, if they are economically unstable or low. Shower kindness on everyone. Friend or foe, be kind. Show affection on others, without thinking whether they give it back or not. Smile at everyone at all circumstances. When you smile, others smile back. Guess what, that smile returned, will help you and boost you to face your difficulties. With this, I depart from you, but only today. Wait for the next article!
Knowing the value of human relationships is more wanting these days among all, no exceptions like generation, caste, creed or gender. Only socio economic status plays a vital role in making or breaking a human relationship. Unfortunate that this pervades even within a nuclear family let alone a joint family (a rarity again these days). Good that as a kid you thought of writing in these line. 🙂
Oh… Fantastic and the young age, you could write and feel the value of affection over the value of Money. Kudos to your thinking and approach…
